Pivoting from in-person to virtual outreach as a historic street gets a new beginning.
The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, with support from the office of Councilmember Kevin de León (CD 14), is undertaking the 7th Street Streetscape Improvement Project to allow this key downtown area to fully realize its potential through transformative and achievable improvements.
The goals of the 7th Street Streetscape Improvement Project are to improve the pedestrian experience, bicycling connectivity and safety, and the transit experience for riders and operators. The project, which will include 7th Street between Figueroa Street and Alameda Street, will make the area a more dynamic and viable urban environment for pedestrians, cyclists, businesses and residents.
